Membership helps to support the station to continue to bring you music you know and love and engages you with the community of Horsham and District.

There are two types of Membership, Listener and Presenter Memberships, they are an annual subscription, with renewal due on 1st October each year.

Membership Rates
Listener Membership @ $10 per year
Presenter Membership @ $15 per year (In the first year there is also a training fee of $25)
An Optional Donation of an amount of your choice can also be made.

Ways To Become A Member, Or Renew A Membership

You can call in to Cooks Manchester & Lingerie at 32 Firebrace Street, Horsham where Kelly and staff can receive your application and payment by cash or cheque.
OR
You can contact the Secretary on 0407 340 496 to arrange a time to meet at the station to lodge your application and pay by cash or cheque or direct deposit.

I agree to the below statement.

AGREE TO:

1. Comply with the Rules of Horsham & District Community FM Radio Inc. as contained in the
Policy and Procedures Manual.
2. Sign in as presenter and sign in any guests of my program on the attendance sheet supplied.
3. Complete a playlist log sheet for each program I present, indicating at least 30% Australian content (unless otherwise approved by the Committee) and produce it if requested by same.
4. Play specific station promotions as directed by Committee (and sign off that this has been done) and play others as desired not exceeding the 4 minutes per hour as per Community Broadcasting Association of Australia standards.
5. Record all faults in the book provided for this purpose.
6. Air community announcements at least once per hour as provided in the Community
Announcement Booklet in the studio (during daytime programs).
7. Pay for all personal telephone calls.
8. Accept responsibility for the removal of my own property brought into the Station premises.

UNDERTAKE NOT TO:
1. Include additional commercial advertising in the program.
2. Remove any property of the station unless signed for in the borrowing book and to return property in a timely fashion and in good condition.
3. Present in an offensive manner.
4. Attack individuals or make defamatory statements about internal Station affairs or other Station Personnel.
5. Incite to riot or violent or unlawful conduct.
6. Put telephone calls direct to air (unless previously approved by Committee/Programs Team).
7. Play music liable to cause offence before 10.00 pm and that if intending to play this type of music then a warning must be given at the start of the program and again before the particular piece of
music.
8. Smoke, eat or drink in the station’s studios, with the exception of water, which must be kept clear of all equipment. A kitchenette is provided on the premises. Cigarette disposal units are available at the front of the building alongside the coach terminal waiting area.

AGREE THAT I WILL:

1. Indemnify Horsham & District Community Radio Inc. against any claims, suits, demands or legal action of any nature whatsoever resulting from my participation in any program it broadcasts.
2. Allow any program in which I participate to be rebroadcast by the station without my permission.
3. Accept that the station has the right to audition programs before they are broadcast and reject those it considers unsuitable according to station policies.
4. Follow all lawful directions of the Committee and the Programming Team, including those
concerning programs and announcements.
5. Ensure that no more than two people are present in the studio at any time and if a third person is required, I agree to take full responsibility for them.

I declare to be the owner of the material contained in all programs presented by me, or to have the authority as the owner to use the material, or, if this is not the case, to comply with all laws relating to copyright.

I understand that the Committee of Horsham & District Community FM Radio Inc. has the power to discipline members who are found to be in breach of the above undertakings or agreements.

I have read the complete Policy and Procedures/Presenters Manual and agree to uphold the philosophy and abide by the rules as written.
